opening day first deer with the bow

well this morning was the best morning in a while reason being i shot my first deer with a bow WHAT A FEELING :D

well it all started at 6;40 this mornin i saw her walking in so i let her come in at 35 yards i took my shot :o wow i couldnt belive i missed ,but there she stood with out flinching just stomping her feet. so i cocked my exocet and tried agian only this time i heard the thump :D waited 20 or so mins then went down to see if i could find my bolt .there it was brown ah @#$% were the first word then i looked around and there it was THE BLOOD TRAIL well we tracked her for about 3-4 hundred yards and there she was. glad i didnt sleep in this morning :D

ii gues i should be taking some more practice shoots from a tree stand.it shoot 4 inches to the right could have been that i didnt cock it straight should have used my cocking aid sucks to have bad wrists but all in all i used like bow hunting but now i love it will post some pics later today

shot her trough the lung and stomach and it came out her hind leg .im useing 100 grain wasps the ones that came with the bow.wow they do make a big hole giong in. any suggestions on what to buy in terms of bolts and broad heads ony have 1 left

Good job on the tracking bzz! We'll be looking forward to seeing the pictures.

Broadheads . . .if you want to stick to the fixed blades, then I'd suggest getting some Slick Tricks. If you want to try some medchanicals, then I'll suggest the Trophy Ridge Hammerheads. Both come in a 100 grain, so there would match your current set-up and these broadheads have more cutting surface which normally make for a shorter tracking job. I also found them to be more consistant than the Wasps.
