Back from Cottage

Post by Big John »

Well just got back from the Cottage tonight. Went up to close it up for winter and get in some Grouse hunting. 8) My favorite Bird. :)
Lots of rain and cold temps. Snowed twice, this morning it snowed 1/2".
Because of wet spring and wet summer, lots of small Grouse didn't survive.
But I tried, got 7 Grouse to bring home. I couldn't drive to much yet, but the Wife was there for me. Same as always. I got some nice pics of the snow and Grouse I'll post later. One bunch of boys form the townsite got a nice Bull Moose, about 30 in. spread. They were the only ones I seen. Was a very nice Thanksgiving though. Hope everyone here had a good one also.
Anyone who submitted Deer competition pics was scored today. Thanks all.

Sounds like you had fun. Glad to hear you are getting out. I took Nellwyn out for a few grouse hunts so far and she's a natural. I don't know why I waited so long to get her into it.
I hunt for memories, the meat's a bonus!
