CONGRATULATIONS MIKE Looks like a bruiser. Tyler will be tickled when he sees that you recovered him this morning. He woke me before heading to school to see if you had found him yet  . I gotta get that boy registered as a forum member so he'll quit waking me up  . Nice buck buddy. Now you have something to show at the club tonight  .
God Bless !!!!!!!!!

Only in my dreams. Glad you found him all in one piece. Take your time but I am sure that Texas grit will get him out.

He is retrieved, officially checked in at the deer check station and in the bed of the Tundra.

Only took seven and a half hours.

There is a very unique twist to the story. Had to get a special dispensation from the Ohio DNR regarding the recovery of this brute.

I will tell all in another thread and post the story and all the pictures.

Oh, and at the feed mill he weighed 287 3/4 without his innards. They estimated at the check in station that the innards probably were close to 40 lbs so that would put him around 327 lbs on the hoof!

Need to get a shower now and head to Doc's office and pick him up.

Shooting sporting clays at the club tonight and a wild game dinner to boot.

What a day!

I feel better now.

Congratulations Mike on a super buck. For table fare, I am a great believer in pre-rut bucks. Well chosen.

A BIG CONGRATS TO YOU MIKE!!! Like everyone else, waiting for the whole story and more pics. And with a weight like that it sounds like you got a small elk instead of a deer
