I have Lumis on my Excals out of loyalty PLUS the fact they are a great bow scope. I have a Hawke MAP on my Cyclone. Great too. Much smaller, multiple aimpoints - though not adjustable for trajectory.- straight 3.5 power. This one does not light up but the SR does, though has circles for a reticule (?). It just so happens to be right on at 20, 30, 40 and 50 yards with this 355 fps bow. Cost $70. Best scope buy on the market for the money.
PS word has it they are about to come out with a high end model for CBs .
Vortex, Phoenix, single-shot rifles and handguns.

The Crossbow Review web site has tested the Hawke Map, SR and the Excalibur Lumizone scopes as well as others. Good reading.

I have tried the Hawke MAP and SR on an Excalibur Vortex. The aimming points are right on. These Hawke scopes work best on crossbows shooting 300FPS or faster.

I have a Excalibur Lumizone scope with a range finder vertically mounted on my 200lb ExoMag. I have harvested (5) deer with this set up. I can't mount an Excalibur range finder mount on a Hawke scope. The Hawke scope is smaller than the Excalibur scope.

I have both
I prefer the Lumi-Zone but the Hawke is nice also.
I had problems with my hawke with the reticle twisting off center but they said they would fix it.
The optics are clear.
I think I like the Lumi better because I am more used to it.
Either will work fine.

I am toying with the idea of putting on a Wolfziet mount and using like a 1x5 or something like that.

I also have both. I like the Lumizone, but I find the optics clearer on the Hawke Map SR. I also like it's smaller size, but best of all, so far, unlike the Lumi/Vari scopes it hasn't fogged up when there's an early morning dew.

It's not "normal" for the Excalibur scopes to fog up unless they've got a bad seal and lost their nitrogen fill.

Regardless they have a lifetime warranty.

All you have to do is get them exchanged.
Mine haven't fogged up internally, but rather on the surface glass of both ocular and objective lenses. I would periodically wipe them with a soft cloth to clear them until the sun came up, then the fogging wasn't an issue.

I also have both, and I think I like the clarity of the Hawke SR now that I have gotten used to it. Just my .02 worth. Either one is a good choice though, good luck....
