It is just to D@*$ hot here.
Time on stand is a chore with this relentless heat.
I have been taking a few days off,not feeding up trying to run the hogs out of the south en of my lease.
I know they are whats keeping the deer away.

The groups or familys have 10 - 20 hogs EACH.
We will meet again in blackpowder season.

Problem with our weather right now is that it is mild going in to an evening stand, then at 5 pm the temperatures drop rapidly, makes choosing clothes a real chore.

Early this morning it was 55 here. It is now in the low 40's and falling. It is also raining off and on. Looks like a big rain coming later. Snow for western half of the UP from 2" to 9" expected.
Keep smiling!

73ºF here right now.
It was too warm for hunting last night, so I grabbed the fly rod and hit the local lake for an hour or so. Only a few small bluegills, but it was better than nothing!

71 yesterday in PA. was out early and had a shot at a doe but I was back in abit and didn't want the meat to spoil before I got to the truck. I often bone them out but forgot the cooler. But it was a nice fall day. Better than working. :)
