I love my TC Black Diamond! I used a TC Hawkens for years but I decided to try an inline and always liked TC's reputation. I picked up the Black Diamond for $200 new, which is to me is on the low end of all the high priced muzzleloaders. Definitely an accurate one!

Either a T/C or Knight, unfortunately Knight is going out of business. A reliable and rather inexpensive gun would be the T/C Omega. The 4 most popular brands would be TC, Knight, CVA and Traditions. I would rank them in that order also.

I own an original Knight rifle , very accurate .

Just purchased a Traditions a Pursuit II XLT . Very accurate as well . with Horandy 300 xtp bullets and 80 grains of loose BP the fire arm is capable of shooting clocer leaf groups at 100 yards .

A friend just purchase a CVA Wolf and it to was shooting great groups at 100 yards . I was very surprised it shot so well . Impressive for an entry level rifle .

I've owned the major brands listed in previous posts, plus a few more. (such as Lyman & H&R)
T/C is my first choice and all I'd spend my money on anymore.

Like you will here from many others dick, it is hard to beat TC and for my money you get a lot of bang for your buck with the Omega.

That being said, you can pick up some really good deals now on used Knight smokepoles. Knight made a great gun and their barrels are just superb and to my knowledge have never had any safety issues.

i shoot 2 knights one is the LK93 one of the lower end knights the other is the disc rifle, both are extremely accurate, but like has been said they are going out of business so i would go with one of the TC rifles. they too have a very strong reputation for quality.

Kelly,

My first inline was a Knight Wolverine LK-93 with the skeleton stock. Probably the best shooting muzzleloader I ever had, still don't know why I gave it away to my buddy.

For a dedicated muzzy at a good price I like the CVA Wolf.
No frills but plenty enough gun to get the job done.

If money is not an object I like the TC Bone collector ot Triumph.

For interchangeable bbl guns I like the Encore,CVA Apex and the Optima Elite.

This season I am shooting a CVA Kodiak in 45 cal.
I sold my Encore.

I hunt with a CVA Optima Pro and Tyler shoots a CVA Wolf. I paid $80.00 for Tyler's wolf on clearance at Wal-mart. Both guns are tack drivers and have put down 2 nice deer this year  .
God Bless !!!!!!!!!
