Guess you're talking about a Canadian hunt. :D

I'm going to take a shotgun out this week for deer, though ... with 00 buck loads ... betcha ain't allowed to use it up there ... or are you?

It's wondrously effective in the brush, up close. 8)

No sure how much I'll be able to get out as hubby has no time off. :? Usually he has the week off and we are out every day... this year is different though. Oh well, there's always next year.

I'm still hoping to sneak out for a couple of hours while my boy is in school at least twice during the week.

I hope to get out some evenings but, as Vix said, it doesn't look like I can get any time off work for morning hunts this year. No shotgun for me though, I'll be loadin' the ol' frontstuffer again this year. :D

I'm not much of a buckshot fan... Go slugs or go home.

I myself will be using my rifle on the second week up north.

sometimes down here one might relate jumping deer to flushing quail. they flush just as close and the time of shot opportunity is sometimes even shorter, making buckshot the goto load!

Grizz ,I hope you get a swamp monster with that scatter gun!

Shoulda known the buckshot-badmouthers would sound off! :P

It was just a question about legality, boys. :D

It's legal here, 'cause it's useful here ... and we know when and how to use it.

Buckshot is not ideal for many situations, but in certain situations it's superior.

I could show you why, but y'all don't visit much! :D :D
