new antlers at the food plot

Post by wabi »

Pulled the game cam card and I am seeing some different bucks showing up now. Still no Ohio monsters, but there's a couple I'd have a hard time letting walk.

Nice bucks! Fingers developing a rash?
I'd rather wear out than rust out.

No, the blood running down them took away the itch (for a short while).

We had a really good rain Tuesday night and a lot of the leaves are off the trees now. I had a hang-on stand behind the feeder that was really exposed now, so I decided to drop it out of the tree and bring it home while I had the tractor there. I dropped it alright! The top swung around and got my hand between it and the climbing sticks. A hand between steel hitting steel is never good.
Not cut bad, just peeled back the skin on a couple knuckles, but the blood was dripping for a few minutes.

I just may recover in time to go set in at the food plot for a couple hours this evening.

I also took time to check some of last years scrape locations (from the tractor). Looks like they have been hit before the rain, but untouched in the last 24 hours. I may have to find the old scent dripper and hang it up soon.
