I know, it would be rude of me to pick my own color and spoil my surprise. You are the greatest!

If you sand down the one of the right it will get lighter and very pretty. To eliminate the high gloss finish use some 0000 steel wool after Tru-Oil dries for a couple of days and then finish with a good paste wax like Johnson's Paste wax!
You sure you can skin griz, pilgrim??

Interesting. Thanks DaGriz. So, you favor the one on the right?DaGriz wrote:If you sand down the one of the right it will get lighter and very pretty. You would stain and then sand to the correct lightness. This sample already had tru-oil on it. I believe that would be the prefered if I understand correctly, right.DaGriz wrote:You need to experiment with sanding the one with the oak stain By sanding you will lighten the wood surrounding the curl and the overall appearance will looking great. Lots of trial and error to get the right color.
