Help with excalibur Crossbow questions from experienced user

I am shooting the dacron string that came with the bow. I bought an extra dacron, and the Excal Flemish string, which I have yet to use. I'm getting about 90-100 shots per serving and just keep switching back and forth between the two dacrons. The factory set-up is keeping me so happy, all I've messed with is arrows and broadhead combos.

My hunting partner got an Equinox two weeks ago and immediately dry-fired the bow with no damage at all. Boo commented that the dacron string may have helped save the day. I believe everything he tells us all.

I'm going to get my hunting set-up chronographed sometime this week and see what fps I'm actually getting right now, but whatever it is, nothing is going to get changed this year. I'm ready to hunt and I won't mess with the set-up until Jan. 2011.
