Fat on deer

Post by B-Logger »

Just wondering how the fat is on deer that you've shot this year.

On ours, we noticed right off it was fatter than anything we've shot for several years. I hung up 3 times the amount of suet this year as last.
Keep smiling!

Lots of fat on the ones we've taken so far. Definitely more than last year.

my buck was loaded with fat, I actually got 96.5 lbs of meat out of it. got an old buck 3 years ago and made all burger out of him and got 99 lbs of burger. this buck this year was an 8 pt but a horn was broke off making him a 7. Was in the barn butchering him and my niece told me to look out the window, and 2 10 pts were at the end of pond, go figure. This deer was #105 for me , not bad for an Ohio hunter.,but I am on my 69th year and love hunting. Got him with my exocet. :D :D :D
