new record

Post by munch »

just for me and it was only a button buck .i have passed on 5 deer waiting to shoot a nice one first with my new dreamseason xforce .well today i said enough is enough and shot a young one at 39 yards thats a new record for me i get most at 10 and 12 yards .the new bow shoots real nice and so quiet you can hardly hear it. the arrow made more noise when it hit the ground after pass threw on a hard 1/4 away shot it ended up in the stream floating away with the feathers up and the lumi. glowing (looked funny)the arrow was tipped with 100 grain slick trick and the enter and exit holes where huge with 6 'wide blood trail .the deer may have made 50 yards but no more.i really like these broad heads and use them on the compound the exomag and my sons pheonix they fly kike field points and have never failed me .i will post some pics latter in the week and this one will be for team no great threat

Congrats on putting some meat in the freezer Terry.

There's a stupid forkhorn, spiker and a slightly smarter six-point hanging around the Daniel/Swance properties that you can have a go at too if you want...some light rattling and grunting have brought them in almost every time I've been around the area.

I'm letting all the young ones walk away. No need to fill a game seal for me unless it's the deer I want to take.

I have seen one doe this season around that area...so I'll fill an antlerless tag out in 85 when I drop out to mom and dad's sometime later in the month for a few days.
