First Bow Buck

Post by golfcat »

Finally,

After 10 years of bow hunting with a compound and 10 with my Exocet a buck finally got close enough I couldn't screw it up. Got a small 6-pointer at 12 yards. Went about 100 yards with a trail even I could follow. It is absolutely amazing to finally do this with a bow. Thanks to Bill T and everybody at Excalibur for a wonderful weapon. I had major surgery 10 years ago and in Oklahoma the only way you can use a crossbow is if you are physically unable to use a vert bow. Without the crossbow I would have had to quit bowhunting. It got me back in the woods and now it enabled me to get one. WOOHOO.

Congratualtions Roger!! Not sure I could have lasted that long without a "win". Sweet victory!! 8)

What broadhead did you use?

Sumner,

I was using the broadheads that came in the accessory package. Had them so long I'm not sure which ones they are. Wasp something or another. Pretty impressive hole in and out the other side.

LondonDave,

I've got pics but not sure how to upload them. I'm not positive I can from work even if I figure out how.

Roger,

You need a photobucket account or something similar. If you'd like to e-mail them to me at [email protected] I can upload them to my photobucket account and post them for you.
