My first 10 point
Ok for this story we have to start with last night. I was having a fit because I couldn't find my limb saw. I finally found it and had wanted it to trim a tree I just hung my climber on. I got to bed late and mad.
I woke up at 4:00 and decided I was tired and went back to bed. I woke back up at 5:21 and decided to skip the shower and dressed fast and went to my closest stand. I got in just as it was getting light. 15 minutes later a doe strolled out from my left looking behind her and my blood started pumping. Then she looked directly away from me and I could see she saw something. She was getting nervous and then I saw it. A large bobcat walking down the lane. The doe took back off to the woods and I was irate to say the least. Its 6 days until season opens so the cat got to run off. Now I am telling myself this cat just ran off my doe and the buck she had in tow.
20 minutes goes by and I see a fawn come out on the other end of the field and another behind her and then a big doe and a buck dogging her hard. The does stopped and the buck stopped 100-110 yds out and I pull the trigger. The doe never moved but the buck ran a bit and slowed as I waited for him to drop and then he turns around and walked back towards the doe. I had MISSED. Trying to shove a second load down a TC omega without swabbing it is like pulling hens teeth. I managed to get the second load in and looked up over the bush and tangles and he was still watching the doe and was nice enough to be standing broadside again. I took aim and at 75 yds he wasn't so lucky. He was heart shot and went down 50yds away. It was a short tracking job and after my wife found him we got my new pup and helped him along the short track. His first lesson.

Vixchix he is just a long eared 4 month old beagle but we have been bottling blood this year to train him with, we freeze it. A guy told me to get more blood per deer to pour blood and clots into and old blender it turns it all back to liquid before freezing it. We did that today. Hopefully by next season we will have a tracking machine.
