Well it happend

Post by diesel »

I never thought it would happen to me because I could never get my thumb all the way up to the rail. I just replaced the string on my bow and wanted to shoot it a few times to be sure all was ok . The third time I shot thought my thumb was just yanked off my hand. This picture was taken a day after it happened . I used it to show my son and daughter of what can happen.

OUCH! I too have done this. I'd still rather take the pain of hitting my own thumb over the pain of hearing a dry fire.

My Exocet was accidentally dry fired on the weekend, luckily everything seems fine and its still shooting straight.

But like its been said, you still got the thumb nail. Saw a buddy loose his nail, looked real painful.

hurts don't it. took me 6 months for the nail to fall off and come back.just wonder did you say OH SUGAR when it happened i was shooting at a deer at 8 yards and the arrow missed i had to bite my lip the deer made 2 leaps and stopped .like all red blooded hunters i thought i could cock the bow and shoot again but the blood dripping down on the dry leaves scared the deer
