The person who posted the video on YouTube is back. Apparently he deleted the first one because of the negative feedback he was getting, he has now reposted the video with a clean feedback slate.

sounds like he is trying to pick up a sponsorship. I know of one man that spent several thousand dollars on game farms and professional video people trying to get a sponsorship with a bow manufacturer. you could tell all his animals were taken behind a high fence set up and he received no sponsorships. yes he is definately a MORON

I'm not impressed with the set-up at all.

He needs to think out his strategies if he is looking for a sponser.

I know some guys that would do that.
One bragged the other night about unloading his Muzzleloader for the season by shooting a squirel at 70 yards.
No intention of eating it,just shot it.
That chaps my @$$

I told him how impressed I was at his manlyness and how Macho he is
he started to bow up at me till his partner (a guy I've known a long time) told him the error of his ways and that he did not want to go there with me.

I love being 6'8" and intimidating

I think this guy created an alias to give himself a positive comment. This individual has some serious problems.

Well I just sent the video to the IHEA, TBJ, NBEF, with a short message. I thought you might be interested in watching this video posted by Jim Litmer, with Thirdhand Archery. I don't think this is the message we want to send to our young hunters out there. Very unethical.

I appreciate your idea about sending the video and thanks. I deleted the earlier post I had put up because I didn’t want to turn this forum into a lynch mob. I replied to several of his post on the video instead. Thanks for your support and everyone else for the support they have shown as well. I guess I took this a little personal because my 14 year old watched it and thought it was cool.

After several disagreements with the sponser of the video he has replied that due to the fact that kids are prone to try things they see on videos that he has ask youtube to remove the video. Thanks to all of you for your support and opinions, it paid off.

I'm glad the video is gone, but, I was interested in seeing his responses to the questions raised.

He tried to compare a deer's head to a baseball . . .his reasoning for the arrow stopping. Everyone should know, a baseball is way harder that a deer's skull . . .everyone except him. There is no doubt that arrow would have passed through the skull, I have done that(finishing shot on a spined deer).

His explaination was actually good for the broadhead being in the closed position. However, he made a stupid comment about that being a positive thing because if you did not get a pass through, then having the blades closed would increase the animal's chances of survival. That would only be true if the arrow "backed out" about two inches . . .as long as the arrow is working forward, then the blades would continue in the open position.

He said he could get 2 1/2" groups at 20 yards with his bow(not nearly as good as we get from the Excalibur). He also stated that if you could consistantly hit your target, then take the shot because that's ethical in his view. However, the kill zone for a head shot is less than 2" on the average deer. So, based on his own definition, he made an unethical shot. We all know how long the average deer keeps it's head still.

I wonder if he still thinks that shot was ethical. It's a very low percentage shot. There are better ways to prove you are an expert marksman. That's why they have 3-D shoots.

Yes well he finally saw things our way, 1st thing he has done right that I can see. When I commented about the blades being closed, he said they were supposed to do that, sounds like the springs are a bit soft to me. Aw well I don't think he'll be posting any videos like that again, ever. Good job everyone, that will teach him to mess with TEAM EXCALIBUR.
