Here in Central IL we are hub deep to a Ferris Wheel with corn still in the field. I has rained here since Sunday and is raining again today. They might get it out by Christmas if they are lucky. I have jumped deer bedded in cornfields twice recently. Both times they were in the corners of the field. Look for them there. Gary

This rain today is going to push it again...some corn was coming off yesterday, but up at Dad's mill, samples were still coming in at 16.5% moisture. It has to come down to 14% to avoid the dryer.

The corn just came off the farm I hunt. All the fields are now clear :D This opens up some new strategies...

I imagine if all corn comes off it can increase sightings, but if its only taken off at various farms the deer would move to still standing corn and decrease sightings. Ive always wondered this.
