don't know but last week i got home from work and our dog had the kid next doors rabbit in the back yard dead .i was afraid they would be p*$$@^ so my wife and i washed all the crap off and dryed it with the blow dryer .when it got dark i slipped over and put it back in the cage so they would not know what happened. next day i see the kids dad heading to our place and think o no i'm #^%^$# the guy said he could not believe what happened the sons rabbit died and they barried it in the back yard and the next day they found it back in it's cage

Maybe some do ... but I guarantee you that the coyotes here don't, and red wolves don't, either.
I've seen some domestic dogs bury bits of rotten carcasses and such.
Bears will cover kill, but they always drag it off from the site.
Beats me, but that meticulous "round the circle" scratching looks just like cat-work.
Hard to say without a track ... and there is a track somewhere, or at least an imprint. Should be a hair around, maybe ... look harder.

My beagles bury everything. Give them a chew toy or bone and they run out side and bury them. bury things in the couch and beds don't matter. If we find one the burried in the house and pull it out they get very irritated with us.Allan wrote:Cats usually cover their kill, not canine(s).
