Hi Red Label JR. Welcome.

Any reason in particular why you picked that handle?????

Ask away and you'll be given info up to your eyeballs. Are you looking for a crossbow or vert bow? New or used? (check out the tradingpost option (bottom right, select a forum)).

Welcome to the forum Chris!! I believe that's your name. You should ask "Uncle R.J.". If anyone can, he certainly will lead you in the right direction.

It is true anything Rick would tell you ,we would only be repeating . :)

I did have an Excal Vixen up until about 3 years ago but for reasons I wish not to get into it was sold. So as now I've realized how much hunting is something that has got my desire again I have to start from nothing.

Welcome to the forum. :D

You might give the ancient longbow some thought, if you're really up for the archery experience.

Crossbows are pretty cut-and-dried. My Excal experience has been a good one; as simple as ordering, sighting in and using, with success. No problems.

Of course, there are lots of Excal fans around here!

I wouldn't say you are starting with "nothing", the desire you spoke of is often more than enough to make it all come together. :D

Chris,

Welcome back, I know you were on here under your dad's login a few years ago & was actually just wondering not to long ago what happened to you.

As soon as I saw the user name I knew who it was & am glad to see the spark that your father instilled in you has been reignited :D

I myself lost my father who was my mentor in the woods & totally undertand what you have gone through.

As others have said you are looking in the right direction at Excaliburs.

RJ is till around but is now livving in the sticks outside of Woodtock & only has dial-up so his online time seems to have decreased significantly but if you pm him I know he will definitely get back to you & help you out anyway he can.

Hope to see you here more often.
