Oof Scott!

I was lucky - last June I cracked a rear molar in my upper jaw, but it was painless.

A trip to the dentist (LONG overdue) & he sent me to an Oral Surgeon w/ the recommendation all 4 wisdom teeth & two rear upper molars come out. That happened 7/1 & other than the freight train like Mike P said, all is well with the site now.

I have to admit though that having one's nose spontaneously run when swishing toothpaste out of one's mouth was an odd sensation.

The hole into the sinuses has thankfully closed up since.

Best of luck!!
-Mike
PS You'll probably be told to premedicate 1hr before your appt with 2 grams of Amoxycillan.

I had a cracked tooth removed. It was ok except I got it done on a Friday....bad mistake. Got a dry socket and could not get in to the surgeon til Monday. The pain made me want to rip my head off for relief. I think dry sockets are not common....but don't get your tooth removed on a Friday

That may work well for the string and keyboard players, but the sax player has to use those lips! :(

Be sure and drop us a note here and let us know how ya did.

Well,the tooth is gone.
He said it has been there sinse I was 7 years old.AWWWWW :D
I have alot of discomfort but it will pass and I will feel much better.
The surgeon is a deer hunter, mostly south Texas,he had some beautiful mounts in his office.
He gave me a copy of the Texas trophy Hunters magazine to take home.
He just called to make sure I was ok,not used to that.
We will see what tomorrow brings.

Am glad you got it done and it's over with! In a few days you won't even remember you had a tooth where it was. Hope you have minimal discomfort in the meantime and that you heal quickly!

Sax, hope things are going well. Did you find a quarter or maybe a sax reed under your pillow?
