broadheads

Post by mikeflo2 »

I was reading in horizontial bow hunter that the publisher uses steel force premium 125 4 blades in his excal. After what Bill said about the heavier wheight grouping better at 30 to 40 yds, and having some down stairs for my vert bow I decided to try them. Excal exocex200 set up with wasp 100 at 30 yards. Screwed in 125 fp at 20yds bulleye. 2nd arrow steel force 125 cut 1 vane and the shaft of the 1st arrow using the older gold tips stock bow stock with fiber optic peep. hope this helps some as I see a lot of posts about trouble with broadheads

I have some SteelForce 4 blades that I got for my vertical bow. Never shot one at a deer, but they did shoot well. I thought about them with my xbow but everything I read seemed to say or imply to stay away from long broadheads.

Used Muzzy 3 blades this year with good results and have 125 Slick Tricks to try for next year.
