LARGE AVATARS

Post by flbuckmaster »

Would it be improper to ask these people with large avatars to fix them? afterall, they have had plenty of time to get it done already. I think it degrades the look of this forum. Can the site administrator do anything about this? Waduthink?

What size is considered large? I put one up yesterday and can see that it is larger than yours, is mine to large?

Thanks...

I don't think some of the guys realize that they have excessive space being taken up, Munch for instance doesn't have an avatar selected, just a whole screen of white with a small red "X" in the corner, the same way mine was.
Perhaps we should explain how to fix the problem, beats the heck out of a new thread every day to complain about it.

-Go to user control panel at the top right
-Click "profile" on left side
-click "edit avatar"
Here you can alter the size or delete it.

I decided a while back to not even use one because of the trouble it causes some users with different size screens and who are on dial up.It just makes everything take longer for them.
Maybe while guys figure this out they can just not use an avatar for a while.

Like you said pyd, I dont think some of the guys realize the problem. Thats why I started my thread.
My computer skills are not good enough to recommend a fix, so its good we have guys such as yourself to help out!

I briefly considered installing a huge pic of my smiling mug as an avatar, but decided in the interest of humanity to refrain. :P
