minor rut

Do we have a minor rut going on or is it all over? Are we in post rut mode? Whats going on in your areas?

Many hunters will speak about a second rut that takes place mid to late DEC. This is a time that the does that were not "serviced" go into a second estrus.
I'm not sure if this is the case or not. I have noticed throughout the years more buck movement in mid DEC but that may also be the colder weather and the fact that food is not as easy to find. I have seen moderate buck movement most is just at last light or overnight

Something must be going on for I know of two people in the last couple of days that have shot MONSTER bucks that had something else on their mind .
