First Coyote hunt
Well our group did our first coyote hunt of the year today.
I belong to a group and we all own a bunch of hounds together.
With no snow here it can be pretty tough tracking for the dogs.
We have a few new dogs that we were itching to get out and see how they work well we were not dissapointed.
We ended up shooting 3 coyotes and the dogs pushed another past some goose hunters who did us a favour and knocked that one down.
At another bush we managed to get 3 more moving and ended up with one in the truck.
Not a bad start to the winter with 5 coyotes gone.
Its going to be a fun winter.

Re: First Coyote hunt
Beautiful,
the less coyotes the better.
Went out this afternoon bow hunting for deer.
There were coyote tracks everywhere and just a few deer tracks.... It used to be the other way around.
It seemed like everywhere there was a deer track there were coyote tracks following them.

Re: First Coyote hunt
coyotes seem to be a problem everywhere now and numbers continue to grow.
It is not uncommon to see them all the time in the suberbs of chicago.

If it isn't hectic, it isn't hunting!

Thanks.
