New women hunter too join the group :D she has been out a couple times this year, however no deer as yet :(

She is a outdoors type ooh WOMEN!!

Folks this pic was for her school High School album this year so please note the xbow is not cocked, and don't look where her thumb is sticking up  , yup I let'er know even in a pic.. KEEP THE THUMB DOWN   :!: :!:

She laughed and stated, " now gramps you know I would not have my thumb up there in a hunting situation" and I seen it also when I looked at the pic!! I stated even in a no hunting situation ya don't want to hold the xbow that way.. makes for BAD HABITS!!

Look out guys anothe women HUNTER :!:

she looks like she might be a southpaw the way she has her head over that stock,or left eye dominant,is she trying to look through that scope with her left eye ?

Sharp eye bdog. I'm betting she is a lefty to. Go girl! Wish my wife would enjoy the sport. Oh well.

Its great to see women interested in hunting! And judging from the pic thats a beautiful bow shes holding. Well kept or very nicely restored. " Thats a Wolverine I restored a few years back, suped it up with brown deerhide limbs, dpbars/pads and a little more power with special inserts behind the limbs.. I let her take her pick from a Vixen (Black) Phoenix or the Wolverine which she wanted, good choice I thought

Thanks much VixChix, and yup the thumb is a keeper :!:

agingcrossbower good guess, however she be right handed..

Looks like she has listened well to her "gramps".

She may forget and shoot once with the thumb sticking up, but I don't believe I've heard of it happening a second time.
At least I've never got my thumb! I did break 2 bones an put a cut big enough for 6 stitches in my little finger, though.
