No doe tag------hunted all of October----all I saw was antlerless.

Then first day of rifle season--my Son and I both shot Bucks at our place.
He got his in A.M.-----and I got mine in P.M.
Choice meat ---4 pointers---look good in the freezer.
Since there were no extra tags in our area we were done. [63A].

I had a GREAT YEAR! With the help and support of many members on this forum I made a wood stock for my Vortex. Got out and saw a couple of deer. Got a doe on New Years Day in my snow fort. I can not wait for next years hunt.

my partner and i took 3 does and 3 bucks to the butcher and i got 2 turkeys, i went out approx 30 times to hunt from sept to dec- took 3 weeks off work to hunt and hunted hard -lots of deer -blew my one shot at a monster urban buck hunted him about 10 times- next year try again

I guess I can not complain, I got my Vortex Sept 2008 and harvested a mature 8 point in 2008 and a 4 1/2 year old 11 point Oct 16 this season. Maybe I will have to cell my rifles since I have not used them for two years. Also harvested a long beard this past spring.

Saw two deer - killed two deer with the exocet 200. Also had a share in 8 others. Was a very good year.

Great year for me. After 37 years of deer hunting, First year with a crossbow: 1 buck. First year with a rifle: 1 doe.

I am done for the year........Had the buck I wanted come through passed the deer cams and I hope he makes it again this year.
Already hunting him for next year, trying to figure him out. He seems to come around during the early first week of bow season and
than again in the middle of December.

Textbook shot at 20 yards but made the rookie mistake to not let the doe expire before I decended my treestand. I spooked it and never recovered it!

Good year for me, shot a bull moose with a buddy (we were both shooting), got a doe with the excal in nov, shot a nice 9 pointer and a fawn with the rifle at camp, and then took a nice doe with the excal in dec...

"Bagged" this guy on the trailcams on a weekly basis all summer long which was rewarding enough. Unfortunately for me, he went off on a 3 mile jaunt in early November and was taken with bow by another hunter. Such is life......I did take a doe, my first xbow deer, with the Excal Vortex.
