Time to get those cams back out

Post by crazyfarmer »

I take all of mine down during general firearms season here for the fear of someone getting sticky fingers. I just put 3 back out today. Ill get the others up this weekend. But now is the perfect time to see what made it and what could have been pushed into your area 8)

I usually leave mine out till they all shed antlers and then the cams get a break untill June

Today I did it the old fashoned way, I used my eyeballs...
I have one large buck, still wearing his headgear passing through through about every three days.. No does.

I got to thinking about the gun hunters last month and pulled my new cam, too.
We still have 4 days of muzzleloader season coming up, so I may just leave it pulled until next year.

Being a little farther north than you our antler shed is happening now, or has pretty much already happened. All of our deer seasons are now over. I've given some thought to putting a couple cams out, but with all the snow cover a cam would be pretty easy to track down.

by gun hunters I just meant its more people in the woods than during archery season

good point about the snow. You can definitly make out cams better in the snow!
