I have used rocket Hammerhead and Sidewinders on Russians with my compound . A well placed shot put them down in short order . The Excalibur model should do as well .

There's more hog hunting outfitters in Tx and Ok than my state, Ar. Some of them won't allow mechanicals. I'm guessing they have their reasons, but since I never did care for them, haven't asked exactly why.

I have shot a few hogs way back when i used vertical Bows. Found that as long as BH is sharp & thick bladed so they don't bent or break easy, they do the job. I prefer blade thickness of at least .035 thicker is better, i like strong BH's hogs are heavy-duty critters.

Stay with a fixed BHd. less chance for something to go wrong. Wild pigs will hurt you when they are wounded. Montec or Slicks are what I use and what I recommend to visiting hunters.
