STS, Ground pounder

Post by Amos »

I just ordered a Phoenix and I am waiting for it to arrive. In the mean time I am reading a lot of this forum. My question is does your excalibur already come with holes tapped into your bow for the addition of a STS and Ground Pounder? And, with the addition of a ground pounder will your cbow fit into a soft case?

both my Exocet and Exomax would fit soft case with STS and Ground Pounder Mount less quiver.

Hmmm.... I have no problem leaving the quiver on with the soft case and the padded soft case. I have to take the quiver off only for the hard case. A recent thread here had someone say that you also have to remove the quiver in the newer, form-fitting, soft, padded case but that Excalibur provided generous room for the quiver to be stored somewhere else in that case as well as pockets for other items like spare strings, tools, field dressing kit etc.

Does anyone know if you have to re-serve the string that comes with the Excalibur bow to accomadate the STS pads? I understand the serving should be as wide as the STS pads. Just got a new Exocet and was getting an STS and now wondering is the serving needs to be redone.

The STS comes w/ string to extend the serving. I've tried both and can't see a major diff. On reserves, I've just extended the serving about 1/2" in both directions. Not a biggie, imho.
