Maximus Crossbows

Post by bigbuck »

Hi there.
Whats the deal with these Maximus Crossbows?
They look like some kind of an Excal knock off.
Has anyone tried one?
Are they Canadian?

I'm sure China makes killer crossbows. Just like they make killer toys, killer paint, killer dog food, killer baby food....

I fear this is the start of something similar to that which has already happended in the gun community, where Chinese clones are becoming increasingly popular. The Chinese have got many of the "traditional" gun companies beat on price-point and it sure doesn't help when the "traditional" gun companies are offering increasingly lousy products (still better than the Chinese in most cases) and poor customer service.

Bill and Cathy; may your company grow, prosper, transition smoothly when you are ready to retire, and never, ever, be bought up by an anonymous private equity firm! :)

Toyota would be a Japanese company not a Chinese owned company.

I understand that their rail is solid so that would probably account for much of the weight issue.
