Post by gogo »

Went out this morning to check my hunting property.I found a turkey hanging by its neck from a tree branch dead as a door nail, must have got caught in the branch somehow. Anybody see anything like that before?

The same thing can be said of any turkey that gets within shotgun range of me.

That does sound pretty weird, but not totally uncommon. I read an article one time where someone had gone back and looked at stuff like that (dead critters in weird circumstances). The guy had accumulated quite a few of them, from various states. It was pretty interesting how some of the critters met their demise.

No but saw a duck hanging from a barbwire fence that ran through a pond once. Just like for folks, speed (and using a cell phone) while flying , kills. lol.
Bet they carry a really tiny phone. Did you find it?

Hello,

I have seen photo's a a dead buck that got his antlers caught in a tree while rubbing! If I can find them I will post them for all to see.

Watched a grouse fly into my truck Sunday night. He was dead on impact and not too beat up, so I had some snacks for dinner. Gotta love road kill

I saw a raccoon that had hung itself in a tree fork.. Probably slipped.

There was a pic several years ago of a turkey, shot, that had a branch through its body. Must have flown into it.
