Changing riser angle

Post by DMc »

I have an Exocet 200 that I was looking at, contemplating removing the dissipator bars to clean up the looks on the front. I know some guys have done this and was wondering how much of an increase in vibration is felt.

Also, I believe the older Exocets with the flat risers went from 175 lbs to 200 lbs, just by that slight increase in angle of the riser. Would it be possible to detune the bow by reversing that angle? I'm thinking an aluminum wedge?

These were just some random thoughts that may not go anywhere, but if the bow could be detuned with no harm done, with the ability to change it back, I could use it more of the year for small game hunting without trashing as many arrows.

See if you can get someone that has a flat riser that wants to swap riser, fasteners etc.
Some people just like stepping on rakes

Take the Dbars off bow looks great with out them.
I don't think the wedge idea would work as the bolts and bars that hold the limbs on would now be on angles to the limb.
Sell and get a Phoenix I enjoy shooting my 175lb much more than the 200 I had.
