My heartfelt wishes for only the best for both of you. I understand how you must feel and what you're going through since I've known my "best friend" for 53 years.

Just got back and its Saturday night. Her swelling is steadally going down. Her face is back to normal size. She is taken off the ventalattor for a couple hours and then put back on. She still has drain tubes 2 in her neck 2 in each side of her chest to drain out the fluid and puss. The neck drains are all but stopped so they are taking them out on Sunday. She will be slowly taken off the breathing machine so she can do it on her own. My Jen is a fighter. I was standing at the side of the bed and a bunch of gurgling went throught the tubes and she wrote down that she farted and smiled. I laughed and thanked her for sharing. Is'nt that cute. One step at a time. Thanks everyone and I mean it. Your all good friends and I'm very fortunate to be a part of this family. Mike :)

Jen, is still on the lung machine. That is the key to getting the drain tubes out of her. They sat her up and had her raise her arms and move them around. Its going to be a long therapy. One step at a time, but at any rate it is a step forward. Mike

Jen stood up twice today. Has had a low grade temperature so they are going to do a cat scan of her chest to make sure the infection is not coming back. still trying to get off that lung machine. Has been having a lot of back muscle pain and cramps. They gave her a lidocane patch and some different pain pills. Back rubs and lotion seem to help. Poor thing is getting sick of the hospital, and so am I. Tomorrow they may take out the draining tubes and that will be a blessing. The results of the cat scan is the next nail biter. Thanks for all the well wishes and prayers. It means a lot. Mike :)
