Made turkey rolls...

Post by VixChix »

Made these up last night - easy and delicious. Great way to make a turkey breast serve more people.

Found them here:

Marinated Wild Turkey Rolls

1 (5 lb.) wild turkey breast, deboned
12 ounces commercial Italian dressing
12 strips thickly sliced bacon
1 box of toothpicks

Cut breast meat along the grain into long, thin 1/4-inch-thick strips. Submerge strips in dressing, cover, and marinate in the refrigerator for three to six hours. Drain. Place a strip of bacon onto each sliced turkey breast strip, cut the bacon/turkey strip 4 inches long, roll into a pinwheel, and secure with a toothpick.

Place in a large non-stick skillet and cook over very low heat for about an hour. (You may also try baking them at 350 degrees for approximately 20 minutes.)

The turkey roll is done before bacon browns.

Bob,
We must think alike. I looked at the pic and thought, "Wonder where the other 5 servings are?"

Looks like it could be one of those meals where the main course would fill you up if there was enough. :D

The turkey rolls look wonderful. I bet they were good too.At our deer lease we have wrapped alot of different things in bacon and all have been very good.We started with shrimp wrapped in bacon and it is SUPER.Next we tried some marinated chicken and it was great too. Then we tried some turkey breast chunks. They were very good. We decided that next fall we would try bacon wrapped in bacon. I will let you know how it turns out.
