Relayer Y25?
Relayer Y25?
Is it true they only made 1000 of these? Seems to me they are readily available.

Yes, 1000 made, 999 left.
I agree though, it is hard to find a shop that doesn't have one in stock.

925 RH and 75 LH, the 999 is about the one LH I trashed. You would want to 'shoulder' one to appreciate them.Pydpiper wrote:Yes, 1000 made, 999 left.

Re: Relayer Y25?
The wooden stock on that baby is awesome. The wood makes for a good balance and noise reduction. Ive bought and sold many excaliburs but I will never part with my Y25!! My advice to anyone is buy one while you still can!

Yup, that is Maxpoint/Paradox. Made by Excalibur. Now owned by Kenny Barr in West Virgina. I also own two more with training wheels!bob1961 wrote:thx boo, do i see training wheels on that bow in the middle?..........bob

Never knew such an animal existed. I have seen the names before but didnt know it was a compound. I always thought excaliburs were always recurves. Did they make any other bows under different names?

Re: Relayer Y25?
That compound bow was a joint venture between Bear and Excalibur. The front end was produced by bear and everything else by Excalibur. The bow was way ahead of its time being able to cast a 400+ arrow at 350ft/sec. The true fine tuning was done by Danny Miller. The cams have no let off. Trigger is the same as you use today which I think is great. A bit front heavy but that is pretty much a characteristic of any compound bow. All in all a fast, rugged and accurate bow.
