It really IS a good issue!! And I'm not saying that just because bstout's picture is in it. 
Or...that the Michigan Crossbow Federation is listed in it. Or... that the Axiom is featured in it.

i miss read your post i thought it said there was an artical in it that said excalibur crossbow was rated best crossbow by the mag testers/reviewers over every body else's xbows

What impressed me were the reviews on the Axiom kit, which is essentially what I have converted my Phoenix into. 
(Basically a "bare bow" with a scope for sighting - no DBs, no quiver, and I'd be happy with a fixed power scope since I only use the main crosshair for hunting.)
