I asked the same question! The guy says there was no damage to the tree?????? I don't know! There does apear to be some "ant like" debris in the cover. So it may be possible they some how did it?? Yes, if it was caused by "induced" current. The magnetic field from the electric source (the lightning) passing over the wires could cause a huge surge in voltage.FredBear wrote:The outside of the case has no damage. Would that still make sense for a lighting strike? I have no idea!
