Fun topic Bob, thanks for starting it. :D

Some of mine.

Custer's

Cadillac

The Red Ant Stand

Sleepy Hollow

And my best..... Marching Band Stand

The marching band stand is a stand very close to the local high school and you can hear them every evening when they practice. Doesnt seem to bother the deer much. :D

this should be a neat thread, every good stand has to have a name. I spend my time in " the maple swamp", "the green spot", "the apple tree "(gonna be a common one here) and the ladder stand (fabricated long before Bass pro ever sold them). All are developing a brass pile at the base of the their respective trees.

We have "The Three Rocks" which are three huge rocks that overlook a hardwood plateau and a beaver pond. "Buck/Doe Ridge" where i once walked up on a deer with it's head in a freshly fallen tree top so I couldn't see whether it was a buck or doe. We had no doe tags that year so I patiently waited for the head to come up hoping to see some sort of rack. Sadly it ended up being a doe but we joked around that it was actually a buck who was trying to knock his antlers off in the treetop knowing I didn't have a doe tag. :D . Then there's "The Maternity Watch". Vix was six months pregnant one deer season so she had a set up close to the camp because she couldn't walk very far with all her gear on and carrying a rifle.
Another spot we have, while not an official stand, is called "Smoker's Hill". The trail on one side of our property goes up a rather long steep hill. Years ago I was grouse hunting with a couple of buddies and when we got about half way up the hill one of the guys was huffing and puffing pretty heavy and said he had to stop for a break. Well, I turned around and there he was sitting on a log trying to catch his breath while puffing on a cigarette! We told him we would put a seat and an ashtray half way up the hill for him for future hunts. :D

Sweet Spot

I have hunted this same spot/stand the last 5 years and have taken 7 deer from it.It just seems like they never catch onto it.And its only a 5 acre woods and has a 75 acre field along side of it.All the bucks were taken between
November 5 through November 20.I havent even looked for a bigger woods or another woods since this one has been good to me.

The island, the swamp stand, The bee tree (massive honey bee nest in the trunk, good only in cold weather :P ), And then there are the farmers properties where I hunt, i just name them after the owner. Last is my favorite:the lazyboy, my ladder stand.

about 10yrs ago we had our youth pastor from our church hunting during gun season with us and he had two deer come by he shot at the first and said he was sure he missed it... so he shot at the second deer, and, well both deer dropped, so from that day on that stand was named the poucher stand
