scope adjustment

Post by Shotnbeer »

I took a few shots today just to see that everything was ok after last year. I had to make a small left adjustment and again noticed that both my adjustment plates on my scope say "up". I know the top is left/right and the side is up/down. Anyone else notice the same adjustment plates on their excalibur scope? I noticed alittle more creep in my trigger than I care for. Boo, "Can you tighten that up?"

Thanks

Normally, the top turret is for elevation(up/down) and the side turret is for windage(left/right).Does it hold zero OK?

Unlikely your trigger has more or less "creep" maybe just more gunk in there since last year making it feel worse.
Take the rail off the stock and give it a good cleaning.

Creep refers to the travel of trigger after any free play is taken up to where the trigger breaks. Are you saying you have more trigger travel or is there more resistance or does it feel more gritty?

Something wrong with your scope then.

Went out today and set up my Varizone. The Up adjustment on the top and the L/R adjustment on the side (the right side to be specific). Fine tuned it in about 18 shots.

Have to say, the Block Target:

doesn't do that well at stopping a crossbow at 10 or 20 yards! (not my Block, just off the website.)

Stopped all my arrows but most were complete entries which was hard on my fetchings!
