Excalibur X act broadheads

Post by mchurch »

I have been doing some broadhead testing with Excal X act, muzzys, g5 montecs, swhackers..all in 100 grain. I am using Danny Miller arrows and found that none of the above broadheads outperforms the Excal X act in accuracy or penetration. I am shooting an Excal Equinox. They will be on my arrows on my next wild boar hunt.

This is a head you never hear much about. It would be great if some guys who use them would let us know what they think about them, Ive considered giving them a try.

I often wondered how well they performed. I noticed them a few months ago when I was researching which Xbow to buy.

I noticed them at my local BPS. I've never shot mechanicals, but if I ever try one, it'll be the xact or the Spitfire.

Should be interesting to see the field reports on this BH!
Now therefore take, I pray thee, thy weapons, thy quiver and thy bow, and go out to the field, and take me some venison; And make me savoury meat, such as I love, and bring it to me, that I may eat; that my soul may bless thee before I die. Gen 27:3-4

Where I live in California we have tons of wild pigs. Unfortunately they are mostly on private property which means using a guide. The pig hunts here range from 500-700 per day with very few guides being crossbow friendly. I am saving up right now and will post results with the x act as soon as possible.

Danny Miller tells me that the Backwoods Boys use them and that they are very accurate and work well on deer. Haven't got around to use them but they are next on my list after I've tested the T3s.
