Brace Height Marks on the Equinox?

Post by Corpsvette »

Hello,

I still consider myself a newer Xbow user. I have shot mine for over a year now with one deer kill under my belt but still confused about the brace height. I have searched extensively on this forum and others. I do not see any marks on my Equinox to indicate the suggested min/max marks. I know the sweet spot is a matter of trial and error but can someone give me the measurements for the marks for the equinox so I can put them on myself. I find it interesting that the measurements are not mentioned anywhere in the instructions or on any forums that I could find. THanks for the help. Moving up to a flemish since I have managed to go non-dry fired for the time I have owned my Xbow. Thanks. If there is a post, please just direct me to that.

One line is located 5/8" from the riser and the second 1 3/8" from the riser. That 3/4" between them is where you want to keep you string brace height consistant.
A lower sting = a few FPS faster but slightly louder.
A higher string brace height = quieter but at a cost of a few FPS
Your choice.

Thanks Dutch. I will check it out in a little while. The Excalibur Flemish string I have does say to adjust the string to 1" after it stretches out.

My all camo equinox was very hard to see too, but its there. I ended up taking a black marker to it once I found it, just for a quick reference.
