Heading for Ohio

After a few days hunting with the ole smoke pole,in Smyth county va. Iwill be heading to Jackson County,Ohio with the Excal Vortex to hunt 10 days.Any one know any thing about the rut up there? any thing happening? any one live close there to point this ole hillbilley in the right direction of where to hunt!Not hunting private land only public land.Any info. would be much appericated! I live in Northern Ohio....but have a friend with land in Pike Co. Its adjacent to Jackson Co.

I hear the bucks are chasing this week pretty good. I am trying like hell to make time to get down there a couple days.

I live in Crawford County but from what ive been seeing they are starting to chase some.

Jackson county is a little east of where I am (Adams county) - your timing should be good!
