Proud Daddy !!

Open day of rifle was yesterday for us ( nov 20 ), and was hoping my daughter would least get a chance to see something. I posted a couple months ago about getting a rifle for her, which i chose the .243 . At around 0712 yesterday morning a spike buck decided to bless us with his presents. He was just about to step out on the pipeline around 20yds away. I whisper to my daughter to move slow, but get in position. She stood up in our 4x4 wide stand, and i rested the rifle on the rail .As she prepared to take her first shot at a deer, mustless her first deer. The spike started walking across to try to get across the pipeline to the other woodline while keeping his nose to the ground as he was looking to pick up a scent of a doe. I whispered to my daughter to get the sights on him, and put the crosshairs behind his shoulder as we practice so many times. I told her i was going to stop him, and i would give her the ok to take the shot. I made the baaa sound, and he stopped, and i told her "take him"! She fired off the .243 , and the buck jumped, and took off crashing into a couple of small trees, and expiring about 20 yds from the original shot. The second we both realize what just happen, was a memory that will always be at story time when it comes to hunting with my daughter. She looked at me, and asked " Daddy, Why am i shaking so much, what's wrong with me?", i started laughing, and told her " the same reason i'm shaking". If i didn't know better, you would have thought it was my first. I explain why, and what causes the shaking, but she had a smile that will live on forever in my memory!
