rut keeps on going

watched these 2 for about half an hour today ...they just stood there....if she tried to move he'd cut here off. after they moved i went int stalk mode and got as close as 20 yards to the doe but some brush was in the way not allowing a shot ...

im new to this forum.ive already learned a ton of enfo on crossbows here.anyway i think the rut is winding down in maryland .hunted yesterday only saw a doe and 2 fawns.everyone else is having the same post rut blues here.matter of fact the deer population on a whole is down pretty low.gone are the glory days for old western maryland.
