String or Unstring

Post by LUDDY »

Hey guys need some help with leaving my Ibex strung or should I unstring it while I wait for winter bow season to start and then when I store it for next season. Also what is a good string wax to use.

Thanks

I use Tex-Tite bow string wax very sparingly.

I don't know of any bad string wax.

I also use Tex-Tite but I load up the string and especially the serving. Works for me.

Unstring and remove D bars first. Perhaps it's a fetish of mine..being overly cautious..but it's gotten me to 70 years of age .... with great gear. :D
I also disassemble the bows from stock and store in bow safe (formerly know as gun) :D. Never know when some low life wants to have my bows for himself. And while there is a deterrent handy, with a .45 caliber hole in the end, I'm not always home.
