Thanks everyone.. His face gets red now when everyone comes up and says congrats to him. My daughter wants to go today now. She didnt want to shoot until he got one. The doe and small bucks are feeding hard here! If you can stand the temps. Its 22 right now. I can see I will be investing in a better blind for next year. I still cant stand them, but you cant beat them with kids. Its nice being able to just wear tennis shoes and hunt LOL.

Thanks again everyone.. seems like yesterday he was born and now he has his first buck.

Ive been slow posting lately but I shall be back after season. My days consist of working and then rushing into the woods if I have time. Mature bucks have been few and far between here. Its doe time now though. Time to fill the freezer and then see what shows the final 2 weeks of season. Good Luck everyone and thanks again for the congrats

That's wonderful. It's never too early to get the little tykes out into the woods, and success early will have them hooked for life! I'm trying to get my 13 year old his first, before girls and other activities take his interest in another direction.

Glad that our State has a age law on the books before getting a license. Makes me sort of nervous to give a first grade child a deadly weapon. I wonder how many states issue a hunting license to a 6 year old? I'm sure he had a license.
