? about A-Z easy fletch

Post by georgiaboy »

Thinking about getting into fletching my arrows so I went by bass pro to check prices.
The salesman told me I would have to buy a jig for aluminum arrows even though I'm shooting carbon firebolts...said something about the dia. of carbon bolts being the same as alum. arrows.
Is this true or just bs? Don't know which one to tell santa to buy now!!
Also how to you get the flat nocks to set in a jig for conventional arrow nocks?
Thanks!!!

Most all carbon crossbow shafts are 22/64 same as 22 series alum. as in 2213-2216-22119 so the alum. EZ is the one to get he is correct

GeorgiaBoy, I used an old field tip and ground the tip down flat. I then glued a standard nock on top of ground down end and made myself a jig.

The correct Arizona E-Z fletch tool is the one for aluminum arrows.
The carbon tool is for small diameter carbon shafts only - not the large diameter carbons for the crossbow.
It will work just fine for the flat nocks on crossbow arrows, too. No adapter needed for them with the E-Z fletch since there's no slot to align with the string on a flat nock.

Same as Wabi, I use the AZ EZ fletch that is used for aluminum arrows.
I also just stick 'em in till they bottom out with out any kind of jig.
You really only need a nock if you need to line up the fletching for shooting through an arrow rest.
