Vortex or Exocet 200

Post by Archer Ontario »

other than the thumbhole stock on the vortex is there really any difference between these 2 bows???
both are 200lb Exocet 200 is a little longer
went out and looked at all there lineup today
like everyone said equinox and exomax both 225 lb and 350 fast but chews strings and harder to cock
so i looked at them all seen the Vortex and Exocet 200 like them both
2 guies that were at the store shoot moose with vixens no prob there fav excal!!!
so now i spent a couple of hours feeling them over
and have come down to the 2 mentioned above.
its great to spend time and have all the bows in front of you it really helps
with a boo string a munch mount and a hawke map scope im really excited to get going .
this site has helped me out greatly
thanks for all the help

g'day mate, l like both but l believe the 175 lb Excalibur is plenty & you can shoot them all day long with long string life but the vortex if you want 200 lb xbow is awesome. regards frank

The only other difference is the camo pattern Vortex is Real Tree A.P. and the Exocet is Real Tree Hardwoods both are great patterns in my mind.
Both bows are a great choice I like the thumb hole stock others do not.

Since it seems that you have already narrowed it down to either of the two I would say that it would just be the one that feels best in your hands. I have the Vortex and love it. Get the one that feels best to you and you can't go wrong.

Same bow. Different stock. Your personal decision now. I just bought an Exocet. I personally like that style stock. My personal opinion though.

Got to agree with Dutchhunter. I have long arms and the Exocet felt better for me. Keep in mind that Excalibur does have stock extensions so you can lengthen any of the new stocks up to about an inch.

Well I wear a "37 sleeve and LOVE the TH stock on my Vortex; but then I LOVE the straight stock on mt Phoenix too. :D
Forget about all the 'rules' of what is supposed to fit and try em if you can. TH stock has slightly more appeal to me, easier to hang onto bow, plain way COOL..
Vortex, Phoenix, single-shot rifles and handguns.
Incurable tinkerer.
