Where to buy 2213s?

Post by Mechanical Advantage »

Just wondering if anyone knows where to get Excal 2213 aluminum arrows in Ontario. Everywhere I check only sells 2216, 2219, and carbon firebolts. Excal lists them but nobody sells them even Basspro and cabelas.

Archer's Nook still lists 2213 raw shafts, they might make up some for you.

If you're into building your own, check out ebay Canada.

2213's in Canada

I buy nearly all my archery tackle off ebay now.
Now therefore take, I pray thee, thy weapons, thy quiver and thy bow, and go out to the field, and take me some venison; And make me savoury meat, such as I love, and bring it to me, that I may eat; that my soul may bless thee before I die. Gen 27:3-4

Yup, Archers Nook in London Ontario sells the shafts and can make them up for you how ever you want them.
They made a few 2213's for me last season.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. They must not be very popular like 2216, 2217, and firebolts. I will check out archers nook. I was just curious to experiment with them but found they were hard to find.

The 2213s have the advantage of light weight (you can use a heavy broadhead for great FOC), but the disadvantage of being easier to bend. Be careful when you are pulling them out of a target.

Yes wabi that is why I wanted to try them. I like the idea of aluminum for deer in case they break off. I have only shot deer with aluminum and just started using carbon for targets. The inserts seem to come loose and if you miss they crack when removing them. I see you use 2215, this may be an option also.

I just checked my locker and found a half dozen shafts with inserts that I bought from the Nook and never used (made the switch to carbon). They aren't fletched though (as I do my own). If you are interested PM me.
