Both are great looking bucks, good luck finding Ollie. If either presented itself in the woods here in Va, I think I would freeze in my tracks. Hopefully he left behind a good blood line for years to come.

Mike thanks for the conclusion to a story we here have been following for years . It is far better that "Annie`s" buck fell to a lucky hunter . Than to a front of a vehicle or worse to a poacher .
Ollie is no small buck , so I think he is a suitable substitute . :shock: :D

Always a pleasure to read your stories Mike. At least you know the outcome...there has to be some comfort in that. Hope to see some more stories, including the continuation of this one.

By reading your story i can feel the passion for hunting you have and the love you have for your wife .you are a lucky man . hope she get Ollie , keep us posted on her progress and good hunting :D

Yea! You could probably have killed the deer illegally. But then what would that have made you? A good guy 30 years ago? I'd say you belong on Outdoor Channel on the Ultimate Sportsman Show. :)
